While you could apply your wood paneling to the entire wall, this can look overwhelming or become expensive. It is possible to purchase original wood paneling that has been salvaged from period properties. Be certain of your room’s dimensions, and what proportions suit the style and period of your home.

Some don’t come as a complete wood wall panel but are pre-cut pieces available in different sizes measured by the square foot. For an extra layer of drama, paint the wall in a fun color before installing fretwork over it. Fretwork panels are a great way to give formal spaces like dining rooms a pop of personality. Deep charcoal wall paneling makes a dramatic statement here, putting a modern spin on a traditional architectural feature. The repetition, direction, size, and positioning of the rectangles draw attention to the room’s tall ceiling, which is emphasized by floor-to-ceiling curtain panels and transom windows.
The dark paneling, coordinated with white tile and polished brass accents, creates a unique mix of modern and vintage glam. It works equally well for traditional, beach, cottage, cabin and farmhouse decor. Beadboard gets its name from the grooves or ridges, also known as beads, between the boards. It’s available as wainscoting, full-wall panels or tongue-and-groove planks. In the dining room, hallway or bath, it adds for a touch of architectural detail. For board and batten-type wall paneling ideas, narrow strips called battens are installed over large, flat boards.

The rolled-edge wheel is the strongest design you can get before adding a beadlock or strengthening ring. While rolled roofing is cheap and easy to install, its resale value is perilously low when it is used as roofing on occupied structures. Rolled roofing is best installed on unoccupied structures, such as sheds, shops, garages, and other outbuildings. Before you dash down to the home improvement store and pick up a few rolls, you should be aware of the significant disadvantages that come along with the advantages of this product. Forming a bend that does not have a roll holding the inside corner, is called “air”, “blind”, or “ box” forming. When this occurs, forming the remaining angle from bend #2 helps to reduce distortion in the radius of bend #1.
As leaders in metal fabrication, we can provide a diverse range of specialty metal products for unique applications. Metal bending is a process where sheet metal is deformed to achieve a predetermined form through different bending techniques. Force is applied to bend the sheet at an angle until it reaches an anticipated shape, usually “V” or “U.” The main tool used for this process is called a press brake, consisting of a punch and die. Several types of rolled roofing are used as supplements to other roofing materials.

This ten-pass example should be okay if running non-notched, post-cut mild steel. If the section is either notched, pre-cut or high strength material, more passes will be necessary to achieve desired results. Additional passes allow the material to flow through the mill with less strain.
More commonly formed, or basic, shapes tend to have fewer variables and limitations, which in turn have higher levels of results that are both theoretical and repeatable. With this in mind, we will only scratch the surface in this “basic” design guide. We work closely with our clients in every step of the process, from design to delivery. We understand that each industry has different demands, so our experts are trained to handle the challenges our clients face with their projects.
The speed at which these idled rolls spin is dictated by the section (at or near the highest point of the leg) rather than the mills’ drive. Generally this method is necessary when the formed legs of the profile are greater than 70-degrees. Other solutions to overfeeding can be idling key spindles on the mill or idling key forming rolls, clearance angles on rolls that appear to be driving too hard or reducing roll diameters in a previous pass. However, I would still hold the return leg as shown above, after contact with the inside corner is no longer possible.
When calculating strip widths and designing rolls, the maximum thickness within the gage range is generally used. This is done to eliminate interference between the male and female rolls when the material is passing through. The use of restricted tolerance material will greatly improve part consistency but is rarely done, due to increased costs for raw materials.
This will prevent bend #1 from lifting while minimizing bend # 2 distortion. This paper is intended to provide “basic” Roll Forming Tooling design instruction and tips for the beginning or novice designer. In my experience, the ideas expressed in this report can be applied to many situations, but I will stop short of claiming that these are the only solutions.
In addition to the many classic and historical designs, California also includes many contemporary homes. Our plans focus on allowing homeowners to create a timeless and evocative living space that pays homage to the architectural heritages of Europe. The more space you have in a 4-bedroom house plan, the less likely it is that you'll need a basement. You'll have more overhead space to use for bedrooms, bathrooms, and storage.
Removing stairs or elevators from the equation is just part of the piece of mind you may need. The right house plan can provide other accessibility customizations too, so your residence will always feel like home. While you’re giving up a second story (and potentially a basement), single story homes still come packed with a lot of benefits. Living in a single story home doesn’t mean you have to skimp on living space! You can rest assured that Monster House Plans can help you find a design that gives you plenty of room in your dream home.

Hence, the code should easily accommodate new requirements without modification. In the software world, this is introducing a method AddFriend in one of the classes. Low-level design promotes modularity and reusability by breaking the system into smaller, manageable components.
Thrifty And Trendy: 10 Low-Budget House Design Ideas
Adding to these diagrams we use OOPS principles and SOLID principles while designing. Hence, using these 3 paradigm we can convert any HLD to LLD so as to get implemented. Often the developers rush through the low-level design phase to save time only to end up spending that time on resolving the errors due to the shallow design process.
Dive deeper into design interview prep
Low-level design is an intricate process that demands careful consideration and adherence to best practices to ensure the creation of robust and maintainable software systems. In this section, we explore a set of best practices and tips that developers can employ during the low-level design phase to enhance the quality and effectiveness of their designs. At the same time, the Low-Level OOD interview remains one of the most common types of design interviews you’ll encounter during tech interviews. Coming into these interviews with a solid grasp of object-oriented design patterns will put you at a massive advantage.
Despite cutting the corners of extravagance, one can still create a stunning home. This feature is consistent for all the projects and determines API properties. It details all the APIs required for the application with properties. As per the business requirement, the API type could be public, private, or protected. If the expectation is to keep the API hidden from the public, it has to be set as a private type.
Unveiling the Secrets of Software Design: A Journey Through the Fundamentals
They represent the architecture, designs, and how the complex software systems are implemented. In a software project, it is practically difficult to keep all the hierarchies and relationships between the software systems in check. The low-level design helps the developers to stay focused without getting deviated from the deliverables. System Design interviews, on the other hand, take a broader look at the big picture. Here, your concerns are with an entire system’s overall architecture and design. Your interviewers expect you to develop a robust, high-level architecture that meets functional and non-functional requirements alike.
In that spirit, let’s look more closely at each type of interview and my best advice for succeeding in them. There are many different types of algorithms, including sorting algorithms, searching algorithms, and graph algorithms, among others. The choice of algorithm will depend on the specific problem being solved and the requirements of the system.
As defined earlier, OOD involves implementing specific modules or components and their classes within a more extensive system, such as Google’s Chrome browser. But, as I mentioned earlier, the type of design interviews out there can vary, and each will have its own set of expectations and standards for what constitutes an ideal or complete solution. The type of design interview you perform will depend mostly on the size of the company, the role you’re applying for, and your current experience level. Later on, I’ll clarify what particular roles and companies are most likely to conduct certain types of interviews. These are just a few examples of the many design patterns available for low-level design in Java. By leveraging these patterns, you can create more maintainable and scalable software solutions while adhering to best practices in software engineering.
Step 4: Distributed Systems Concepts
A diagram representing each design aspect is included in the HLD (which is based on business requirements and anticipated results). With a well-analyzed low-level design document, creating programs becomes fairly easy. This document can be utilized to directly develop code with minimal testing and debugging. The entity-relationship diagram, table schemas, and indexes can all be illustrated as part of the LLD. Any required database triggers and stored procedures will also be detailed here. The low-level architectural diagrams divide the software system into components and sub-components which can be prepared with the help of the BRD ( Business Requirement Document).
The LLD is essentially a go-to document for the developers; reference material with all the technicalities involved, a well laid out map, with the intention to make development a very smooth journey. Here, at WalkingTree the BRD (business requirement document) acts as the high-level design document which has the architectural diagrams, data flow diagrams, and sequence diagrams included. Low-level design can have a significant impact on system performance. A well-designed system with optimized data structures, algorithms, and resource management will perform better than a poorly designed one.
B) Low-level design, often considered the bridge between high-level design concepts and actual code implementation, involves making granular decisions about how individual components of a system will function. It delves into the nitty-gritty details, determining data structures, algorithms, and the intricate dance between various software modules. It's at this level that the blueprint of a system takes shape, guiding developers through the process of transforming high-level abstractions into tangible, executable code.
Low-level design, also known as detailed design, is an important phase in the software development process where the overall system architecture is translated into a detailed design. This phase focuses on specifying in detail how the system will be implemented, including the design of individual components, their interactions, and the data flows between them. Low-level design is crucial for ensuring that the system meets its functional and non-functional requirements and can be implemented efficiently and effectively. Low-level designing, also known as detailed designing, is a phase in the software development process where the system’s high-level architecture and requirements are translated into a detailed design. This detailed design specifies how each component of the system will be implemented, including the data structures, algorithms, interfaces, and interactions between components.
The Activity diagram helps you to get a holistic view of the system. You can represent different flows and the decisions the system will take at different points in time. One of the key aspects of writing maintainable code is Object Oriented Programming (OOP). A candidate needs to be familiar with all the OOP constructs and fundamentals.

After all, if you avoid cleaning it for long enough, your maintenance tasks will only get harder. It’s impossible to discuss low-maintenance home tips without mentioning material, so we’ll share additional material tips in later entries below. However, it’s important to note that durability and material recommendations can vary depending on many factors, including climate, how you’re using a room and more.
This makes it easier to reuse code across different parts of the system or in future projects. In agile development, low-level design is often done incrementally, with designs evolving as the system is developed. This allows for greater flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements. This repository contains low level design resources to improve coding skills and prepare for interviews. The LLD phase is the stage where the actual software components are designed. Unless you’re set on a particular role, preparing for both extremes of the design interview is the wisest course of action.
It is used to identify the inputs, processing, and outputs of data within the system. It’s important to keep in mind that SOLID principles are just guidelines and not strict rules to be followed. The key is to strike a balance between adhering to these principles and considering the specific needs and constraints of your business requirement. These problems have occurred over and over again corresponding to which these solutions have been laid out. These problems are been faced and solved by expert designers in the world of programming and the solutions are robust over time saving a lot of time and energy. Hence the complex and classic problems in the software world are being solved by tried and tested solutions.
In this situation, a professional contractor can help advise you so you can get advice tailored to your home. Do your research from a cleaning perspective too so you don’t end up with a cabinet of specialized cleaners. Inquire about anything you’ll need to do to maintain certain materials, including how you’ll wipe them down weekly. Naomi Neilson, founder and CEO of Native Trails, suggested hammered copper and glass as simple items to care for, only requiring mild soap and water to clean.
The coolest thing about this is the pipette of butter they bring you to inject into each individual dumpling. The lobster in these is tender and they’re the only lobster dumplings we’ve had worth ordering. Palette Tea House 彩籠 is located at the heart of San Francisco’s North Beach, in the plaza of Ghirardelli Square. Palette combines modern ingredients and a local atmosphere, yet remains familiarly authentic.

While the tea service technically requires reservations, the Founder’s Room does accept walk-ins whenever there are cancellations—so if you’re already visiting the reservation-only Villa on a Thursday or Saturday, you can always try asking the host stand upstairs. Santa Monica isn’t exactly known for its upscale afternoon tea offerings, but this design-forward hotel is changing that with a modern afternoon tea service inside Palma, the Proper’s lobby restaurant. Designed by Kelly Wearstler, the impossibly chic space features unique floral arrangements and plenty of seating arrangements to choose from. While the tables that border the elongated booth by the window catch the most light, larger parties can opt for the secluded alcoves or one of the lower-slung coffee tables.

You have to order the black swan puffs just to get a snap for your feed, but this delightful take on the classic deep fried taro puff, updated with charcoal, is a flight of fancy for your tastebuds, too. Sign up to unlock our digital magazines and also receive the latest news, events, offers and partner promotions. Reserve the restaurant's new private room, semi-enclosed by a floor-to-ceiling glass wall of wine, for more intimate family parties. Palette has an entire section of its menu devoted to grilled and skewered items, like tiger prawns (pictured), smoked pork belly, and wagyu steak. The mighty, steamed Kurobuta truffle XLB is twice the size of any regular dumpling and made with premium pork with a hint of truffle. Only one big piece of scallop comes on top of this siu mai, and the rest of the filling is shrimp.

This buzzy dim sum restaurant may call the heart of Ghirardelli Square home, but it is hardly a spot just for tourists. Pork and duck puffs crafted into cute little black swans are Instagram-ready; and may be tailed by durian bao, tender squid ink dumplings with crunchy jicama and pork, or slippery rice crêpes filled with crispy soft-shell crab. The wait can be considerable—I waited three months, in fact—but the chance to enjoy this museum afternoon tea offering is well worth the need for advance booking. Available Thursdays and Saturdays, 1 to 3pm, the intimate service comes with views of the (mock) Herculaneum villa and amphitheater from the Founder’s Room, located just above the museum café. Pick from an array of high-quality teas, including the Villa’s Art of Tea signature blend, which adds a touch of lavender to Chinese black tea. Compared to the Getty Center’s admittedly lackluster afternoon tea offering, the Villa’s selection of vegetarian-friendly scones, sweets and sandwiches is delicious, and far better than it needs to be.

Original Pork Soup Dumpling "XLB"
Throwing wagyu beef into a dish is usually done to be flashy, but here the rich, tender slivers of beef make a large difference in these great stir-fried rice noodles. When you move to San Francisco, you quickly learn that Ghirardelli Square is a landmark, like the cable car turntable in Union Square or the Tonga Room, but it’s not real San Francisco. You’re only supposed to come to this former chocolate factory with visiting relatives so they can get free chocolates, and then inevitably drag you to Fisherman’s Wharf. When you’re not playing tour guide, though, you can go to Palette Tea House. This dim sum restaurant from the Dragon Beaux people is in the center of the city’s own chocolate tourist fortress, and we like it so much that we’ll come here even on our own time. Palette's cocktail program was designed by Carlos Yturria (The Treasury, Whitecap), and the outdoor bar is a great spot for an afternoon drink.
DUMPLINGS:
Rice crepes are available with your choice of several fillings including prawns, soft shell crab, and raw wagyu with finely chopped black truffle mushrooms (pictured). In other words, the stage is set for big groups ready to dig into towers of bamboo baskets all overflowing with wontons and the like. These are some of the best xiao long bao we’ve had in San Francisco. The wrappers are more reliable than run-flat tires, and the dumplings are always rich and full of pork. These soup dumplings come with five different flavors, so everyone at your table should order their own to get the full experience, but it’s worth it. They’re all fantastic, especially the rich yellow ones with crab roe and turmeric.
Salted Egg Lava Bao (Lau Sa Bao)
You’ve found a spot in Ghirardelli Square that’s as much for you as your visiting family. But when they force you to go to the wharf after, you’re on your own. You’ll be attracted to the colorful xiao long bao like Danny Ocean to a heist, and will want more after you try the rich soup and pork filling. The only blatant connection to the theme is the plates shaped like actual paint palettes. They have useful dents to hold the chili oil, Chinese mustard, and other sauces you’ll dip each dumpling into as if you were frantically creating a masterpiece.

This cha siu of tender pork chunks is glazed with a slightly sweet barbecue sauce for a beyond-rich flavor. For reader convenience, we’ve also included which days of the week you can find the tea in each listing, as well as the cost of each tea set. Each service includes a glass of Veuve Clicquot or a non-alcoholic sparkling wine, plus scones, sandwiches and a rotating array of sweets that put a California spin on classic flavors. (In particular, we found the aged goat cheese and chive scone to be outstanding.) For $20 more, guests can also indulge in bottomless champagne. For a kitschy, distinctly English afternoon tea, this beloved Pasadena establishment offers two reservation-only seatings on weekend afternoons at 1 and 4pm. Each tea service includes a glass of sparkling elderflower cordial, a pot of house blend tea and a three-course set that includes Rose Tree’s famously delicious scones—and the entire service is overseen by a butler in full traditional uniform. Given the overall Britishness of the place, expect savory bites like beef Wellington, toad-in-the-hole and Welsh rarebit alongside sweets like sticky toffee pudding. Note that Rose Tree Cottage requires a proper dress code and only takes afternoon tea reservations a week in advance—and strictly over the phone.

Aside from dim sum, Palette Tea House has larger plates like tender roasted Iberico pork cha siu and Dungeness crab covered in garlic butter. They’re not as clever looking as the lobster ha gow with pipettes of butter to inject into each dumpling, but they’re great to split and will make you thankful no one sucked you into getting mediocre seafood or bread bowls nearby. There are still a few reminders that you’re in tourist country, like the occasional diner with a map sticking out of their bag, but you won’t care.
They’re good, but you might as well just order shrimp siu mai—unless you’re obsessed with scallops. Like a lot of restaurants in tourist areas, Palette Tea House has a theme, but it doesn’t involve eating around props from B movies or dealing with servers dressed as pirates. Instead, everything you order here comes out looking like Bob Ross quit painting and decided to open a restaurant. It makes the entire experience more fun, but even if we ate here blindfolded, the food would still be fantastic. Add an order of the steamed silken egg topped with the stuff for a dish that's luxurious in flavor while light in texture. The lobster ha gow are busting at the wanton-wrapper seams with plump crustacean meat.

The Roots of the Trend
Within the vast landscape of web design, the concept of ‘Bento’ stands as a guiding principle, resonating with the meticulous artistry of Japanese lunch boxes. Amidst the chaos of digital interfaces filled with tabs and buttons, the emphasis on Bento UI emerges as a symbol of clarity and organization. Drawing from the disciplined arrangement found in traditional Bento boxes, the web designer thoughtfully compartmentalizes content and functions.
What is Bento UI?
People are more likely to explore and interact with the content when it’s organized logically. By selectively filling cells, you can create various shapes and patterns within your design, contributing to the overall visual narrative of your website. A mix of large, medium, and small squares prevents monotony and keeps the user engaged.

Bento UI is no more complex to develop than any other layout thanks to CSS Grid, and it’s particularly suitable when designing for mobile. Some say Bento UI took off thanks to Apple, which has adopted it for its UI elements. Other people point out that Microsoft’s Metro UI was effectively Bento UI. Wherever it came from, there’s no doubt it’s increasingly popular, and the more it’s used, the more it’s validated as a UI style. Bento Box Design is more than just a trend; it’s a testament to how structure and creativity can coexist harmoniously. Bento box UI design simplifies the process of crafting responsive layouts for various devices.

I've found that generally speaking, smaller orders tend not to be charged customs, though there doesn't seem to be a hard and fast rule that applies all the time. Sawtelle’s classic Tempura House is a family-run restaurant that’s been serving bento for years. Price is incredibly reasonable and the selection is fairly wide, from simmered mackerel and fried pork cutlet to Japanese hamburg steak and even shabu shabu. Launched in 2008, DesignSwan is a web blog devoted to uncovering and sharing the latest and greatest design, inspiration, graphics and technology from all over the world. A crucial aspect of enhancing the usability of your Bento UI design is the strategic grouping of related content. This approach revolves around arranging cells in such a way that similar or related pieces of information are positioned in close proximity to each other. This method can boost the user experience by making navigation more intuitive and information retrieval more effortless. In the fast-paced evolution of web aesthetics, bento box UI design remains a standout for its contemporary look. The clean lines and structured organization inherent in box designs resonate with modern design principles, offering a fresh and current feel essential for keeping your online presence relevant.

While infusing your brand identity into your design, remember to balance aesthetics with functionality. The colors, fonts, and images you choose should not only reflect your brand but also contribute to the readability and navigability of your site. For instance, ensure that your text is legible against your chosen color palette and that your images are aligned with the content they accompany. Web design branding is crucial, as it helps you attract your ideal customers. Your brand’s visual elements – colors, fonts, and images – are not just decorative additions; they are powerful tools that communicate your brand’s values, personality, and unique selling propositions.
Many believed that the trend was inspired from the Apple promotional videos in the where they show a grid view of specs and features shown below. It was unique to present the boring specs in a visually interesting grid style with variety of visual and typography application. Below is the example I screenshot from the recent Apple Mac promotional video. The Bento Box trend has been around for a while, but it’s only in the last year or two that it’s gained momentum, as designers have realized how delightful and user-friendly it can be. Experimenting with elements of the bento box website style throughout their website, rectangular boxes break up information about features.
They showcased product specs and features in this neat, grid-style layout that was both eye-catching and informative. It was a fresh way to present what could’ve been pretty dry information. Bento UI is more than just another design trend; it’s an evolution of design. It’s an effective way to create a visually appealing and simple-to-use UX.

All the three units in this series are from the German shipbuilder Meyer Werft (shipyard Turku Finland). As with all other "Fun Ships", the shipowner is Carnival Corporation - the world's largest passenger shipping company. Other highlights include the casino, which is by far the largest on Carnival, taking up a significant portion of Deck 7. The Havana Pool is exclusive to Havana stateroom guests, but is more of a hot tub than a pool.

Our table was ready in about ten minutes, and while we were waiting, we used the HUB app to check out the menu. A wide range of classes are available, from sushi-making to cake workshops. Classes are held each day (depending on demand) – sometimes two or three per day – for groups of 18 or less. The final weekend brings the biggest parades, produced by organizations that borrow traditions from European royalty — anointing kings and queens to rule over the proceedings. The Rex Organization, founded in the 19th century, rolls every Fat Tuesday, with the role of Rex, King of Carnival, filled each year by a different local dignitary. The Zulu Social Aid and Pleasure Club, founded by Black laborers in the early 1900s, also rolls on Tuesday. The price of the June 22, 2024 cruise on the Carnival Mardi Gras ranges from $1,112 for an inside cabin to $1,605 for a suite. Carnival Mardi Gras sets sail from Terminal 3 at Port Canaveral in Central Florida.
HAVANA BAR & POOL
The first "Fun Ship" started its maiden voyage on February 26, 1972, leaving from London to Miami. Mardi Gras sailed for Carnival until 1993 when was sold to Epirotiki Line (Greek shipping company founded in 1850). Due to construction delays (delayed delivery), the new ship's first 8x cruises in 2020 were canceled. These voyages included the Inaugural Cruise in Europe (Copenhagen to Southampton), the Transatlantic crossing (Southampton to NYC), 2x NYC departures, 4x Port Canaveral roundtrips. You can see the itineraries at the liner's CruiseMinus (accidents) page.

Just as with every Carnival ship, Mardi Gras is dedicated to an incredibly fun vacation, centered around guest comfort and enjoyment. Our cruise consultants are the best in the industry at matching our clients with the perfect stateroom accomodation for their cruise - and Mardi Gras is no different! With over 2,600 staterooms on the ship, one of them is calling your name.
Good find — the relaxation pool is an exclusive retreat to paradise, and the bar becomes a hot dance spot when the sun goes down. Grab a seat at the bar and order up a handcrafted Cuban cocktail like a traditional daiquiri or classic mojito. This bar is just steps from the pool, whose ocean view and atmosphere mingles with the bar's own, for a bit of that old-time Cuban resort flavor. He's cute, he knows how to chill… and flavor is everything to the little guy. We only just found out about the years he spent soaking up the sun among the grass skirts and frangipani flowers of the South Pacific where, he would tell you, it’s easy being red.

Watch science and mixology come together to create your new favorite drink at the Alchemy Bar on Carnival Mardi Gras. The ship has 12 - including Carnival favorites like the Havana Bar, Redfrog Tiki Bar and Piano Bar 88. These comfy rooms with a view let you take in the scenery as you sail toward your beautiful destinations.
Rudi's Seagrill is another fleet-first dining venue (seafood restaurant by Rudi Sodamin / Holland America Line's Master Chef). Rudi's Seagrill is a specialty restaurant (at surcharge / reservation fee) located on Deck 8 (between Summer Landing and La Piazza) with indoor (80 seats) and outdoor seating (al fresco dining on The Lanai). The Seagrill offers appetizers, entrees and desserts, with all menu items presented as food faces. Signature dishes include Bigeye Tuna, Lemon-Stuffed Grilled Branzino, Seared Scallops, Salt-Roasted Prawns, Broiled Lobster Tails, Crab Cake, Caramel Apple Cheesecake, Chocolate Truffle Cake.
The ship's bunkering takes ~8 hours and her LNG capacity is enough for ~14 days of operation (navigation and onboard electricity production). Available on all Fun Ships is Chef's Table (VIP dining experience / 12-guest capacity) that includes multicourse dinner with ship's Master Chef, private cocktail reception and galley/kitchen tour. This dining option usually takes place in a non-traditional venue (a dedicated room in the galley) and can be booked onboard for USD 75 per person. Carnival XL-Class ship design features a new (red-white-navy blue) hull and was created by the NYC-based naval architecture firm "Bluarch Architecture".
The processions range from neighborhood-based walking clubs — like Friday’s “Bosom Buddies” march — to elaborate, high-tech extravaganzas that feature massive floats laden with flashing lights and giant, animated figures. The main con is that some areas are too small for the number of guests on the ship, especially the Mardi Gras theater, Punchliner comedy club, and the limelight lounge. The entertainment department tries to alleviate this by presenting multiple shows around the ship simultaneously. The biggest Carnival cruise ship is Carnival Jubilee, followed by Carnival Celebration and then Mardi Gras. This area is capacity controlled, meaning they only sell a certain amount of passes per week until it is declared sold out.
Located one deck above, Loft 19 is yet another first for a Carnival cruise ship, and it’s a quiet space designed for privacy and relaxing. The ride’s elevated track spans the cruise ship’s upper decks and features 800 feet of thrilling twists, dips, and turns, including a zooming hairpin loop around Mardi Gras’ tri-colored funnel. Celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse has a specialty restaurant (located in the French Quarter of Deck 6 / portside). Lagasse is the chef and owner of 11 different restaurants, including 4 in New Orleans.
More traditional parades — larger affairs with scores of masked riders on colorful floats — roll through the city Friday night and throughout the four-day end to the holiday. Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday, marks the party’s climax and the celebration will be citywide, with costumed revelers jamming the Quarter and parades proceeding from Uptown to downtown with other events in the suburbs. Sitting just off the gorgeous Yucatan coast, Cozumel revels in its mythic white-sand beaches and world-class coral reefs.
